So, in the 1970’s and 1980’s, Samsonite outsourced (contracted) with a company out of Bradford PA called Werzalite. They made a really nice solid top (fiberglass) table that went perfectly with Samsonite’s enduring quality and longevity. Regrettably, Werzalite no longer makes these tops - but thanks to a crafty gentleman by the name of John, he was able to take those solid top tables and make an incredibly attractive and durable table top that some would argue is better than the original. Basically, he took Travertine Stone tiles purchased at most building supply box stores and rough sawn cedar (or whatever you desire) and trim down on a table saw and voila - about a $ 10 investment per table and looks designer quality !!
